GUIDE TO USING PAINTSHOP PLUS, VERSION 2.03
===========================================
The translation of Paintshop Plus into English was done on behalf
of New Age PDL, using Harlekin. This English manual was compiled
by trial and error, and is not based on the German manual; though
the program was run on an Atari TT, most of the work was carried
out on an STFM with TOS 1.2. The program works best with TOS 1.4
and above, so any errors in the guide should be those of omission.
Paintshop uses the Line-A routine, which from the program's point
of view is not satisfactorily provided for in the Falcon 030.
Falcon users should have no problems if they are using software
which compensates for this. Paintshop Plus was written to be
at its best with NVDI, which itself supplies Line-A.
Paintshop runs in ST-High resolution (640 x 400) and requires a
minimum of one megabyte of RAM. It seems it is not compatible
with MultiTOS.
The program as supplied has been compressed with DC-Squish; if you
use a hard-drive and would prefer to de-compress the program you
will find a copy of DC-Squish in the folder "XTRA__DC.SQU".
This guide has been designed to match the sequence of functions
as they appear in the drop-down menus and the floating-menus used
in the program. There are three floating-menus, to change menu
left mouse-click on the numbers along the top of the menu-box.
There are three picture-screens (the program refers to a screen
as being one page), to change the screen click on "Pic.(number)"
at the top right of the drop-down menu bar. The right mouse-
button toggles the floating menu visible or invisible.
The Icon-bar along the bottom of the screen has the control-boxes
for setting the various functions available in Menus 1, 2 and 3;
these settings are covered in the description of the functions.
At the extreme top right of the drop-down menu bar there is a
clock.

The guide is split into sixteen A4 pages for ease of printing-out.
